Senior Open Studios

Earlier in the month RISD Student Alliance hosted Senior Open Studios. Students from across all the departments opened up their studio spaces to visitors, and were on hand to run demonstrations and chat about their artwork.

It was an excellent opportunity for seniors to showcase their talent, and also a great way for current freshman to see what makes each department tick before committing to a major in March.

My coworker Antonio Peters attended, and managed to snap some great pictures (click the thumbnails below to enlarge):

About Meryn Hall

I grew up in Western New York and gained my appreciation of art at an early age from my cultural anthropologist mother and archeologist father. My favorite books are A Confederacy of Dunces, Nine Stories and the His Dark Materials trilogy. I like moss, micron pens, museums, reading about science and medicine, running around outside and hanging out with my husband and two greyhounds. After graduating from RISD with a BFA in Illustration I became an admissions officer. I love that my job provides opportunities to travel and meet with students who are passionate about art and design.
